  Nissan March is not just a basic car from Nissan, but also one of the representatives, widely complimented compact cars of Japan. Second generation of the car was released in January 1992. It was the first full model change after 9 years from its first release. Model change for the second generation model is also planned in the same year cycle, becoming a long-lived model. In addition to 3-door and 5-door models, new wagon type model called "BOX" is added to March's lineup.
  The secret of Nissan March popularity is its high-efficiency package, friendly design, and light economical driving. The car also improved by several minor changes. The recent one was made in November of 1999. As a result of this minor change, 4WD drive type model was added to basic FF type.
  As for the interior, a spacious cabin is adopted by increasing the overall height of the car and making the engine room more compact in size. Round shape is used as a basic form of the design, which creates a sensation of unity and spaciousness.
  Nissan March has two types of engine: 1 liter and 1.3 liters, both in-line 4-cylinder engines.
  Transmission depends on the grades: 5-speed MT, electronic control 4-speed automatic transmission E-ATx or continuously variable transmission Hyper CVT are available.
  Nissan March adopts various useful features, such as folding rear seats and spacious storage space. Also, it is equipped with diverse safety options: dual supplemental restraint system (SRS) airbag, antilock brake system (ABS), braking assist and etc.
