Our review on Toyota Belta

Toyota Belta is a smallest class compact sedan from Toyota. It was released for sale in November 2005 as a successor to Toyota Platz.
Belta was developed as a "compact, stylish saloon". It was designed to be a small and compact, but simultaneously a beautiful sedan. Belta was focused on its beauty of exterior design and texture of interior.
Belta ensures all basic properties of the sedan: it has wide indoor space enough for 4 people to sit comfortably, as well as a big trunk space, enough to store 5 golf bags. The minimum turning radius is 5 meters, making its body easy to manage. The rear seat is an asymmetrical division-collapsible seat equipped with a trunk-through function.
For the interior, the meter is located in the center, which is commonly used for Toyota's compact cars.
Two type of engine are available for Toyota Belta: 1.0 liter in-line 3-cylinder engine and 1.3 liter in-line 4-cylinder engine, both high-mechanism twin-cam engines. 1.3 liter engines are of two types, 2SZ-FE engine for FF and 2NZ-FE engine for 4WD. The transmission also varies from driving type: continuously variable transmission Super CVT-i for FF and electronically controlled 4-speed AT Super ECT for 4WD.
Fuel consumption is 22 km per liter for 1.0 liter model and 19.6 liter km per liter for 1.3 liter model, both achieving 2010 fuel efficiency standard of Japan by +5%. Also, Belta has achieved the “2005 exhaust gas standard 75% reduction level” in the low-emission vehicle certification system of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of Japan.
For safety features, evolved collision safety body GOA is used for Belta to ensure the safety of passengers in the event of a collision from any direction.
In October 2006, the new business package, omitting X equipment is added.
