Reopening of Pre-shipping Vehicle Inspection for Shipments to Uganda

Dear Esteemed TCV users
Thank you for using TCV.

Regarding the suspended pre-shipping inspection for vehicles destined for Uganda,
which had been paused since September 23, 2023,
we would like to inform you that we have received an official notification
from the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS).

Starting from October 25, 2023, all vehicles departing from Japan are required to undergo pre-shipping inspection (QISJ).
Please note that the starting date has been changed from the originally announced date of November 2, 2023.

In the event that a vehicle arrives at its destination without having undergone the required inspection
and lacks an inspection certificate, a penalty of 15% of the CIF value will be imposed.

We kindly request your highest attention during the shipping process to avoid this penalty.
