As a follow-up to our previous announcement regarding Uganda’s new import regulations,
we are pleased to inform you that the TCV system was updated on April 1, 2025,
to automatically include the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) inspection fee in all applicable invoices.

With this update:
☆All invoices issued on or after April 1, 2025, will include the pre-inspection fee by default.
☆For invoices issued before April 1, if the seller requests payment for the inspection fee,
buyers are expected to follow and complete the payment accordingly.
☆Buyers are advised to carefully review all offer and invoice details before making payment.

【Key Updates & Buyer Guidelines】
● System Update Completed: April 1, 2025
● Grace Period for the pre-inspection: March 20 – April 14, 2025
 ※ During this period, vehicles can still be imported into Uganda if they go through inspection upon arrival in Uganda.
● Mandatory Enforcement Begins: April 15, 2025
● Penalty: A 15% CIF penalty will apply if a vehicle is shipped without passing inspection and receiving a certificate
